SAY YOU'LL REMEMBER ME REVIEW!!!
Synopsis:
"Doesn't matter who did it. Not anymore. I did the time. Its over."
When Drix was convicted of a crime--one he didn't commit--he thought his life was over. But opportunity came with the Second Chance Program, the governor's newest pet project to get delinquents off the streets, rehabilitated and back into society. Drix knows this is his chance to get his life back on track, even if it means being paraded in front of reporters for a while.
Elle knows she lives a life of privilege. As the governor's daughter, she can open doors with her name alone. But the expectations and pressure to be someone she isn't may be too much to handle. She wants to follow her own path, whatever that means.
When Drix and Elle meet, their connection is immediate, but so are their problems. Drix is not the type of boy Elle's parents have in mind for her, and Elle is not the kind of girl who can understand Drix's messy life.
But sometimes love can breach all barriers.
Fighting against a society that can't imagine them together, Drix and Elle must push themselves--Drix to confront the truth of the robbery, and Elle to assert her independence--and each other to finally get what they deserve.
Review:
I am honestly so excited for Say You'll Remember Me!! I am a huge fan of Katie Mcgarry and all the books she's written have hit a spot in me because I relate to her writing, I was a foster kid with not so good foster parents and I was determined to get out and met my boyfriend of a year and a half Haze who is another foster kid and it felt like Katie's books were so truthful. When I was reading Say You'll Remember Me, I was laughing, crying and happy all at once. Drix and Elle are both so determined and so very inspiring. If I could use three words to describe SYRM it would be: Adventure, Love, and Trust. There are hundreds of words I could use but it would take me years. I am so excited for the release of the book and I'm so excited to share the story with the teens my age who I know go through this at home or have a bad history. Katie definitely knows how to make words flow like no other writer that I have read. This is definitely going to be on my top ten reads this year!
